Illinois Player Wins $533 Million Mega Millions Jackpot
New Jersey Players’ secondary prizes benefit from new multiplier
TRENTON (March 11, 2026) – An Illinois Mega Millions lottery player matched all five white balls and the Gold Mega ball to win the $533 million jackpot in Tuesday’s drawing.
The winning numbers were 16, 21, 30, 35 and 65. The Gold Mega Ball was 07. The jackpot has reset to $50 million ahead of Friday’s drawing.
Meanwhile, New Jersey players’ secondary prizes were boosted by the game’s new multiplier. Thanks to the game’s new rules that took effect in April, players are automatically assigned a random multiplier. Seven New Jersey players matched four of the five white balls winning base prizes of $500. Of those players, five had the 2X multiplier and won $1,000, while two others had the 3X multiplier winning $1,500 each.
