$209 Million Powerball Prize Is Won in North Carolina
New Jersey Players Cashed In Big During Latest Jackpot Run
TRENTON (January 22, 2026) – The Powerball jackpot was won Wednesday night in North Carolina as a single player matched all five white balls and the Power Ball to capture the $209 million jackpot.
The winning numbers were 11, 26, 27, 53, and 55. The Power Ball was 12, and the multiplier was 02. The cash value of the prize is $95.3 million.
The jackpot comes almost a month after an Arkansas player won $1.7 billion on Christmas Eve. New Jersey Lottery players cashed in big during the multi-state game’s latest jackpot run, which had 12 draws, as 10 players won prizes of at least $50,000. Among those, an Essex County player won $1 million, and a Burlington County player won $250,000 on Monday; an Ocean County player won $500,000 on Jan. 10.
Meanwhile, the Double Play drawing is a separate event for players who opted in for the Double Play feature on their Powerball tickets. No player won the top prize, which is $10 million. The Double Play drawing’s numbers were 16, 20, 28, 36 and 52; the Double Play ball was 12.
